"The Burridge Plein Aire Experience"

Discover the actual painting "high" of Van Gogh, Manet, Monet and others. See for yourself why painting outdoors was (and still is) so popular. This on-location and studio painting workshop is for all levels of painters who want to learn the time-honored joy of paint sketching outdoors and finishing up in the studio.

Starting in a controlled studio environment you will paint and practice the principles for why and how to paint sketch outdoors using acrylics. How to setup and prepare for the outdoor plein aire experience. Travel to the site and set up your outdoor "studio," painting all day with watercolor. (watercolor is the preferred medium for outdoors -- it's a simpler set up) Back in the studio, using acrylics, we commit to paper or canvas and paint what we have visually imprinted, sketched and photographed. This course will teach you all the basic principles to paint trees, clouds, meadows, mountains, water and abstract landscapes.
