Dear Artist,
Now What?

When you return to your painting in progress for the second or tenth time, what do you do first?

For me, a quick re-entry into a painting always involves re-establishing the lights and the darks... The lightest light and the darkest dark. That step usually gets me going!

The remaining time is spent in pure whimsical painting time and goofing around with color. I also take another look at my goal for the painting and the title, to be certain I'm on the direction I imagined. It keeps me on a more productive track.

Dig it.

Love, Peace & Happiness,
