PRINTS FOR SALE

Serigraphs         Serigraphs
I was fortunate enough to have two serigraphs published for me by Powell Street Publishing in San Francisco. The printer was Kolibri Art Studios. The process was amazing -- it took one man more than 6 months to produce the screens for my serigraphs, both of which had over 75 screens. It wasn't that I used 75 colors to create the paintings, but he was able to discover the nuances of color to make that many matches. "Food for Thought" was the 1998 recipient of the Gold Medal award in the International Printing Competition sponsored by the Screenprinting & Graphic Imaging Association. The entire edition size of 350 on both canvas and paper has been hand-embellished. This serigraph is sold-out; some "Artist's Proofs" are available for purchase. For pricing, please inquire. "Afternoon Recital" was my second serigraph. The original painting is 30x40 inches, oil on canvas. "Afternoon Recital" was selected and included in the 1998 Grammy Awards Auction honoring Luciano Pavarotti. The entire edition size of 350 on both canvas and paper is sold-out; some "Artist's Proofs" are available for purchase. For pricing, please inquire.

Giclée         Giclée
With the advent of Giclée (zhee-clay) the art of fine art printing has become even more precise. Because no screens are used, the prints have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs. The dynamic color range is greater than serigraphy. In the Giclée process, a fine stream of ink -- more than four million droplets per second -- is sprayed onto archival art paper or canvas. The effect is similar to an air brush technique but much finer. All Giclée prints pictured in this section are available thru this website. To purchase, go to our products page or inquire for special sizes and prices.

Lithography         Lithography
These days, 4-color printing is referred to as lithograthy. Posters, open edition prints, and greeting cards can all be categorized as Lithographs. I have had the pleasure and good fortune to license my artwork in the form of lithographs to companies such as Starbucks Coffee, Williams-Sonoma and the Sausalito Art Festival. Starbucks licensed the usage of 6 of my paintings to be used on their commuter mugs and as framed prints. Williams-Sonoma licensed the usage of 4 of my fruit and vegetable paintings to sell in their store as framed kitchen art. In 2001, I was the poster artist for the Sausalito Art Festival. "Party of the Arts" was named tas the "Best Outdoor Festival Poster" for that year by Sunshine Artist magazine.
